Here are some tools I use on a daily basis that make my life so much easier.

Zoom

This free app for video conferencing is awesome. The interface is easy to use, you can get an overview of all your meetings and the video quality is great. It’s the best video-chat software I’ve used so far and recommend it to anyone who uses video chats.

After a couple years on Convertkit I made the switch over the Flodesk and haven’t looked back. It’s a email provider that’s a designer’s dream. It’s simple, easy-to-manage, and cheaper than what I used before. I highly recommend it! Check it out.

Dubsado

Dubsado is a Customer Relationship Management system and, in my opinion, it’s the best. Even though Dubsado is several years old, the team is constantly making updates and adding to the long list of features.

With this CRM I’m able to have clients sign contracts, fill out proposals, questionnaires, create workflows, input bookkeeping and so much more!

Loom

Loom is a free video recording app for your desktop. I use Loom often to connect with my clients and potential clients.

Every time I send a video to a potential client they always comment how much they love the personal touch!

Cyxus blue light filter computer glasses

I’m at my computer a lot and I found that often times I would get headaches and have trouble falling asleep.

After I got these blue light glasses, I’ve never had a headache and I sleep like a baby. If you struggle with these things, I highly recommend them!

Since going full-time, I started tracking my hours and I have to tell you, it’s been a game-changer. With this free tool I’m able to sort the projects I’m working on and see how long individual projects take me as well as how many hours I work a week. It’s incredibly useful and I highly recommend it! Learn more.

I LOVE Calendly. I’ve been using since I began my business in 2016. It is a free scheduling app that allows you to put in your availability and interested clients can schedule a time that works around your availability. I recently upgraded to the paid version that unlocks more features. Check it out.

Planoly is an Instagram scheduling tool that I’ve come to love. In this app, you can plan your posts in advance in a beautiful interface. For the paid version you can schedule posts in advance and have it post for you. This saves me so much time and it allows me to connect with new people without the stress of knowing what to post. Designer Tools

I couldn’t run my business without these.

Adobe Creative Cloud

The Adobe Creative Cloud suite includes Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom and more. I use these on a daily basis and highly recommend them for anyone who wants grow their design and photography skills.

iMac

I LOVE my desktop computer. After using a 15” Macbook for the first couple years in my business, moving to a 27” screen has been a dream. Another thing I enjoy is that the iMac stays in my office. No longer do I take my work in the living room and watch TV. Having an iMac helps me separate my work life from home life– which, if you work from home, can be a struggle at times.
