Brand and Website Launch for The Wellness Sleuth – Lyme Coach

Sometimes, the people I connect with online become friends, and sometimes in a wonderful twist of luck those friends turn into clients and that’s exactly what happened with Kym. We met on Instagram around 4 years ago when I was just beginning my business so when she came to me wanting to create a visual identity and website for her health and wellness brand, I was SO excited!

Kym is such a strong person, not only has she battled Lyme disease, but she’s passionate and committed to helping other people who struggle with autoimmune diseases as well. Her business, The Wellness Sleuth centers around humor, honesty, and approaching wellness with a lens of fun and fact-finding to help others in their journey to solving the mystery of Lyme. Creating the visual brand for Kym’s business was so much fun and I’m so excited to share the finished result!

Kym reached out because she was ready to take her business online and create a home-base where people could learn about her and her story, have a place to house all her wellness tips (Sleuth Smarts is her blog) and grow her business to real influencer status– which I’m so excited to be apart of her journey to getting there!

She said that before she hired me she, “…had all these thoughts and ideas in my head that I couldn't actualize. I had the desire to find what I wanted to put out into the world, but it felt totally impossible.” Coming alongside her, taking her creative ideas, and turning them into a fun and whimsical brand helps her finally get off the sidelines and make her business a reality.

The branding process always begins with a deep dive into my client’s goals, mission, target audience and more. We got clear on the feelings she wanted her audience to have when they interact with her brand, which for her was fun, playful, grounded, informative, and helpful.

Once we get clear on some foundational elements we begin the process with an Inspiration Board, Color Palette and from there we move on to logo sketching and actualizing her visual brand.

For the logo, I wanted to symbolize her business in a fun and playful way.

So I designed the logo to be a magnifying glass and also sun rays shinning on the mystery of Lyme– exactly how Kym helps her clients.

From there, the marketing collateral pieces are made and we round out the branding with a Brand Style Guide–as you can see here below–a roadmap for how Kym can use her branding.

After the branding was complete we moved onto the website where I input all of her branding into the site. In this case, it was fun, personality-filled, but also grounded in professionalism so Kym can build that immediate trust with potential clients.

Kym said, “I think it will bring my business to the next level, for sure! And give people a feel for what I do and what it's like to work with me just by experiencing my website and branding,” which is exactly what an online presence should do – bring your business to the next level and allow potential clients to first experience who you are and then invite them to learn more.

Kym said this of the process, “My favorite part was collaborating with RuthAnn, and how she guided me through the process. We had different ideas and styles, but she was able to incorporate my visions into clarity. She kept my creativity, but grounded it and made it professional looking. Loved working with her!”

A lot of my clients say that their brand “looks professional” and I love that. You CAN have a brand that’s fun and playful and ALSO have it be really professional so it establishes that initial trust. Kym can now show off her website with confidence knowing it’s built to reach her goals while also establishing her as the go-to Lyme expert. Check out her new site!

“I think Ruth Ann really listens to the individual and creates based off of her instincts. What else could you ask for? I think no matter what ideas you have, what style, what kind of business...she will always take your input and twist it into something magical, unique, and professional.”

If you’re in need of an elevated brand and website and are tired of your DIY attempts, I would love to help you! Schedule a call to get started.
